I just got myself a chipped xbox 360, are there any precautions i need to take to reduce the chance of me getting caught??

2.you will get banned from xbox live
3.the only thing is to return the 360 and get the original one.

dont use it. thats illegal and if you get caught, they will ban the xbox form xbox live(assuming you have one)
