IMDB rating: 6.70 Plot: Jack (Daniel Day-Lewis) lives on the site of his abandoned island commune with his 16-year-old daughter Rose (Camilla Belle). Jack has sheltered Rose from the influences of the outside world, but now Rose’s emerging womanhood poses troubling questions about the days ahead. A man who has lived a life motivated by environmentalism and other altruistic causes, Jack now rages at those who do not share his concerns, like developer Marty Rance (Beau Bridges), who is building a housing tract on the edge of his property. When Jack invites his girlfriend Kathleen (Catherine Keener) and her sons Rodney (Ryan McDonald) and Thaddius (Paul Dano) to live with them, Rose feels betrayed and the situation quickly becomes precarious. Rose acts out wildly, creating chaos. As everything flies out of control, Jack finds himself trapped in an impossible place and is forced to take action. |

What do you think of the name Thaddius for a baby boy?
It sounds like a strong, exotic name. Plus after watching The Ballad of Jack & Rose, that name kinda stuck with me.
I love the name, but also prefer the traditional spelling Thaddeus. I had a history professor named that, and he went by Thad. It has a very distinct sound to it, I agree it’s a strong masculine name.

well, it is a very noticeable name and a one of a kind. u do know that when he gets older, he’ll want a nickname, like Thad. i’m not so sure about the ending -ius sounds like a gladiator but overall i think it’s a pretty neat name. but i’m telling u, he probably won’t stick with it.

Its a very pretty name, it means manly,how about:Thaddius Michael, Thaddius James, Thaddius Blaze,Thaddius Ryan, Thaddius David. "MERRY CHRISTMAS"!

Yeah, I quite like it too. And it definitely sounds strong and exotic. Though for some reason, kind of biblical.
